Well this is exciting.
Isnt he wrong? He is saying Raoila is asking for 20m because he brokered the deal but in reality dont Juve legally owe him that amount due to the sell-on clause in his contract?
Pogba, in his own words, said he wants to become a better version of Lampard. If he can achieve that, he'll be worth way more in a few years. Can't wait to see him on the pitch for us. Don't think he'll make it even for the community shield game. I'm expecting his first start to be against Southampton at OT.People who don't think Pogba is a purchase on the level of Neymar, Bale, & Ronaldo just don't get it do they. Why do you think a world class manager like Mourinho is obsessed with him? He can dribble past people like he's Messi, ball control and technique getting close to Pirlo's level, tackle decently well with those long legs of his, and is a more athletic version of Yaya in his prime. A B2B midfielder is arguably the player who influences the game the most on both end of the pitches. It's silly not to pay more for a player who makes more impact on the game as a whole.
Stop giving ideas to WoodyThis! Would be fecking hilarious. Dont even negotiate with Athetico over fees. Just activate his release clause and see everyone panic.
Hope he'll thump one in from 30 yards in front of the StrettyPogba, in his own words, said he wants to become a better version of Lampard. US time? Or UK time?It will be announced at 2-3 o clock I imagine
This video has outdated information. Di Marzio and his henchmen have already reported that Utd will pay Raiola and that the final agreement was being drawn up. Don't be surprised if the transfer is announced later today.
UK time I imagine. I'm in the U.S. Atm so I will most likely be missing the announcement. However first thing in the morning waking up to it will be special.US time? Or UK time?
They wont announce it before the market opens on the East Coast which is at 9:30 and it will be 2:30pm in UK.UK time I imagine. I'm in the U.S. Atm so I will most likely be missing the announcement. However first thing in the morning waking up to it will be special.
Every morning I check the caf right after I shut down the alarm clock to see if the thread title changed. Hopefully 7 hours from now that day will come.UK time I imagine. Did you mean to say he's going to be THE shit? Because they mean completely different things. If not why no white text? You all know he's going to be shit, and most of you guys will say you knew it before he signed.
Honestly, the price is irrelevant. The club is exceptionally well run financially, let's leave that to the money men. What matters is quality on the field, and building a team. Those are the ingredients that lead to success. In that regard Pogba is (a) the best available player in the world at his position, and (b) The right cog the manager believes he needs to build his team. In terms of expenditure to turnover ratio, this deal is less expensive than Rio Ferdinand was. And even if you look at it in purely financial terms, Pogba will retain an enormous asset value, and hence resale value, for at least 5 years.Klopp is right
Just because he is coming to us doesn't mean we have to be bias
Pogba isn't worth 100m imo. That's the price you pay for Messi or Ronaldo...not a player who still has a lot to prove. He will be under so much pressure to live up to the price tag
You're missing outI refuse to watch any compilations until it's confirmed.
I'll be honest. I've never seen him play. I've just built my hopes up so many times over the last three seasons that I don't want another disappointment.Did you mean to say he's going to be THE shit? Because they mean completely different things. If not why no white text?
Juve aren't going to care about the US Stock market, if they're the ones that announce it first. Whether we announce it tomorrow or wait days like we did with Mkhitaryan, it sounds like DiMarzio's 48 hour timeline from Wednesday is based on Juve releasing info (which makes sense for him to report since his best contacts are with Juve). They wont announce it before the market opens on the East Coast which is at 9:30 and it will be 2:30pm in UK.
I guess ignorance is bliss for you.Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Just checked that juventuz forum. There's so much hate for United there now
Not to mention some truly disgusting posts towards the Glazers that I will not quote.
And this guy who goes under the name 'BayernFan':
Yeah, definitely a legit bayern fan and not some juve fan with a second account
We're certainly not gonna announce it till the Pog is in Manchester. It will be late next week I reckon.Juve aren't going to care about the US Stock market, if they're the ones that announce it first. Klopp isn't stupidKlopp was only giving his opinion, and tbf it was reasonable. The price is silly and it doesn't guarantee United still won't end up trophyless next season. Some people here just purposefully choose to be daft I guess, he didn't say much wrong.
Well said.Klopp isn't stupid
He is a Liverpool manager criticising United breaking the world transfer record. He knows how it will look.
It is daft to ignore the context in which something is said and hang on to just literal meanings.
Why do you say that? It's possible that the signing is announced, "pending a medical" is it not? We're certainly not gonna announce it till the Pog is in Manchester. It will be late next week I reckon.
That's ridiculous. I've never watched a highlight reel so long. I normally can't be bothered past 5 mins. But that was epic.

Good gracious god those finishes are terrible by his team-mates. Pub-team-strikers.

It's possible, yes. But our club doesn't seem to prefer taking that route. Instead preferring to let the speculation and anticipation run for a while. Pogba and his entourage seem to prefer teasing us as well haha.Well said.
Why do you say that? It's possible that the signing is announced, "pending a medical" is it not?
Your posts makes no sense. You saying Pogba is no good in terms of playing ability but never watched him play. But you are also saying you dont want any disappointment due to our transfer strategy over the past three years.I'll be honest. I've never seen him play. I've just built my hopes up so many times over the last three seasons that I don't want another disappointment.
Not again. When Ed says United can do things other clubs can't, he means it.
The Pogba deal makes sense from a footballing perspective and from a branding perspective, that has been discussed over and over in this thread.
But although many people seem to see the price as an overpayment for a player of Pogba's quality, the deal is a peach from the financial perspective. Players do not get paid for with all cash ufront, its usually done in several payments. By the time United start making the installment payments, the whole deal will have been paid off by the profits in shirt sales and other merchandising and marketing benefits that United & Pogba will pull from this deal. It's a beauty.
The main risk here from United's perspective is an injury to Pogba in his first 2 or 3 years, but they should be able to buy insurance to cover that risk. The risk will be higher for Pogba than for other midfielders because high profile signings usually suffer more fouls. Refs try to protect players like Ronaldo and Messi, but its harder for Refs to protect a high profile midfielder such as Pogba. So they must insure him.
Not building my hopes up. If I say he's going to be shit and he isn't, it's cool.Your posts makes no sense. You saying Pogba is no good in terms of playing ability but never watched him play. Also, going from this video to the same channels compilation of Dybala, there is an insane difference in class.

Bless his naive soulNot again.

Same. It was so good I actually watched the full 28 minutes three times early on in this saga, and at the time I didn't even believe we were really going to make it happen. That's ridiculous. I've never watched a highlight reel so long. I normally can't be bothered past 5 mins. But that was epic.
Juventuz is a forum mate.I doubt they are in a mess to be fair. They've already signed Pjanic early in the Summer, his stats from Serie A last season are comparable to Pogba if not slightly better. He's still young, 2 and a bit years oldervthsn Pogba but is also an excellent player.
This is why we post about football on the internet and these people running football clubs are millionaires from their work in the industry.
Haha, why not again?Not again.
