Poor logic. What did Fellaini do for Everton to demand 27.5 million for a player who, at his prime, still does not have a defined position? What did PSV do to prove depay is good enough? The selling club has no obligation nor do they care about how the player turns out.. Most of the purchases United have authorised recently have been overpriced and ineffective. Although it is early, it would be no surprise if Lindelof falls into that category
Fellaini was great for Everton. You're using his versatility as an argument against him which is strange. His best position is quite clearly central midfielder in a box to box role. Not sure what you're on about there. He has grown to become a very important player for us, you can't deny that. He's starting ahead of Herrera who was one of our best players last season according to a poll here on the caf.
Memphis scored 22 in 30 games and was the standout player in the Eredivisie in his final season for PSV. Again, what exactly are you on about? I don't understand your arguments at all.
Lastly, you state that 'most of the purchases United have authorised recently have been overpriced and ineffective'. How can you make that statement? Our recent purchases have been Lindelöf, Matic, Lukaku, Zlatan, Mkhitaryan, Bailly and Pogba. Most will agree that Lindelöf was overpriced, that's about it. In hindsight it's quite clear that Pogba wasn't overpriced. Ousmane Dembele cost €105m, Neymar cost €222m, Morata cost £58m and Lukaku cost £75m + £15m. Comparing his price to the mentioned ones which are some of the recent big money transfer shows that he in fact wasn't overpriced. Lukaku too, that's the going rate for a top striker. Mkhitaryan cost around £27-30m which, after his final season where he delivered 15 assists and 11 goals in the Bundesliga, wasn't overpriced at all. Zlatan was free. Matic was clearly not overpriced either, he's been great and most people agree that Chelsea shouldn't have sold him.
You also say that the recent players we bought have been ineffective. I'm not going in depth as to why you're wrong here, it's a waste of time. Most of them have clearly not been ineffective and you're simply not making any sense here.
