Hey Klopp, come to the Kop.
See that fat feck, and the guy with glasses*
Remember, the Premier League is your goal,
do it in 3 years, or it's the dole.

United fans are happiest when in the comfort zone of thinking that Liverpool are an eternally diminished club. To be fair we've let ourselves down consistently over the last twenty years despite our moments of success so made it easy for United fans to think they would always be in that comfort zone.

So when Klopp comes to LFC because of the immensity of our greatness and the romance we embody it destroys that comfort zone and is a reminder of the one thing that United fans fear more than anything - a successful Liverpool is United's nemesis and will diminish them. Klopp is a wake-up call for many people and the laughter at Liverpool always had a nervous quality to it from you when we were at our low ebb.

A successful Klopp at Liverpool who revives us if successful will take United fans back to the bleak days before you had the upper hand over us, your central obsession and that is why the next few seasons are going to be an adventure for us and potentially a very frightening time for you
.

They are so obsessed with United , but I guess thats what having a real rivalrly is about. They seem to dream that if they somehow did perform miracles and challenge for a title it would automatically be United they were crushing.

Atleast the delusion is back in the dippers. They were getting too realistic because of Rodgers.

How often does history repeat itself?

I agree that having Klopp as your manager really oozes optimism but they are again falling into the trap of setting unrealistic expectations, hyping themselves up and giving the rest of the league a good laugh when they eventually do fall.

Also, Klopp isn't a miracle worker. The team hasn't won a league title for 2 decades. It is very very hard to believe that all this while all they were missing was a German coach. Klopp will definitely make them stronger and get them playing an attractive brand of football but they will have to compete for the fourth place for many years.

Yeah it was all getting a bit boring. For it to be funny they have to have this eternal hope that they are only one year away from being great again. Hopefully Klopp will give them that hope, so that we can watch as it is slowly extinguished again and again.

It's going to be great when they find out Klopp is just a German Rodgers, just without the moments that make you cringe.

From F365's Mails page:

I’ve been thinking about him. In the shower. This morning.

Jurgen.

Have been feeling a bit low lately to be honest, let down again, story of my life.

It all started so well (like it always does!). He has a silver tongue devil and oh that smile, it drove me wild. He said he knew what he was doing, don’t worry baby. He told me anyone could do the back, it was easy he said, he didn’t have a clue.

But now there’s Jurgen, a new man(ager).

I’ve been imaging the letters I will write.

They say he knows a thing or two, maybe a defender or defensive midfielder.

Oh I know I’m demanding, have high expectations, keep on talking about that man(ager) from the 70s, no I’m not past it!

Maybe I’m complicated but Jurgen will know what to do. Just stepping out of the shower, I towel myself down…now where’s my no. 7? He’ll know how to fit 4 no. 10s and 3 no. 9s into one team, they say he has tactics. And that beard, and his own teeth, and those glasses, I wonder what he’d look like if I took them off…

Oh Jurgen, Jurgen, Jurgen, I can hardly wait. Please come soon.

I like Klopp already. The surge of optimism he inspires will make for great Rawk quotes

How were benitez and houlier and souness regarded before they signed ? was there this level of optimism. Its like being set up for a huge huge fall. He is much more attacking manager than those hired. I am looking forward to him failing now.

Any Sabbath fans around here?
(You may want to 'look away now')

Take me the through the trophy room of Shankly’s golden years,
Bobbie, Kenny, Rafa, too, we fecked Chelsea with our cheers.
All we have to give to you is a love that never dies,
Give us one more trophy, we’ll love Jurgen all our lives.

Yeah………….
Yeah………….

Jurgen's Kop will hound you ‘til you bleeding from your ears.
Chelsea, Arse, and Man Utd, we can smell your fear.
Klopp is coming for you, and you know that he’s insane,
He's running down the touchline and your fecking off again.

Yeah…….....
Yeah………...

All we have to give you is a love that never dies,
Give us one more trophy, we’ll love Jurgen all our lives.

This looks like Balotelli all over again. Only this time I don't expect the fall to be so dramatic but people there who are thinking of turning league contenders overnight maybe in for a shock.

Also, waiting till Klopp tastes the Liverpool waters and imbibes the delusion.

That can't be real
Imagine having to write individual responses to every stupid resume that was sent to a football club. You would need a full time department.

That or someone over at Liverpool has a lot of free time on their hands.

A Liverpool fan applies for vacant post of Team Manager. This is the reply from the club.
I think its very classy that the club actually read the application and took the time to reply. Nice touch

Cognitive dissonance. They've been in a comfort zone of us being on our knees for so long, whilst we've sustained ourselves with our belief in our uniqueness, and romance and glorious essence. They sneered at us, revelling in our fallen status, sneering about how we are delusional. Then a manager most of them worship and would do anything to lead them comes to us and tells the whole world that everything we have said and believe about ourselves is true, and the sting they feel is immense and unquantifiable. Everything they thought about us to be true has been shattered. In the most high profile and public manner possible. By a man they crave. We are the greatest, most glorious and beautiful and romantic club, a beauty that they feel diminished by. All they laughed at as us being delusional has just been affirmed as truthful and correct by Jurgen Klopp, and its causing them immense confusion, disturbance and a cold awakening and fear.
I find some of them truly fascinating

Surely he's the closest manager to Shankly
get excited easily don't they

They are most definitely all back on message.

Since Sunday evening we have seen on RAWK, as well as almost everything around Liverpool Football Club, a huge change in the disposition in fans who'd been disaffected by our performances and direction. As one good man leaves another takes his place and we welcome Jürgen Klopp to Liverpool. The positivity amongst the fan base is one we've not experienced for a long time and is one we intend to maintain here on RAWK. It's refreshing to see us all unifying in a manner that befits us all in the support of Liverpool Football Club...Except in the New Labour Party Thread of course (thanks 24/7!)

With that in mind in those posters who cannot change being overtly negative and drag things to pits of despair thread after thread will be booted. We are here to get behind this manager and our beloved club. If we do the rewards are not his but ours. Irrational critique and snide posts need to become a thing of the past. If you cannot abide by this then leave by your own accord or adjust your posting behaviours. Constructive criticism, as always, will never ever be discouraged. Persistent bollocks is though.

Make no mistake, if you think being an idiot on here is OK then think again. We'll even give you time to reflect on that behaviour post banning/muting,

So, Smile or Get The feck Out

There's barely any need to comment on those quotes - they speak for themselves. RAWK: the forum where the posters are better than the staff.

Mein Gott...

Remember when King Kenny was our manager, we had "The King's Speech"? I am loving this man's quotes. He speaks the truth!

Let's have a collection of what he says here which are epic. I'll start off:

"We have to change from doubter to believer. Now."

That is the first thing that was revealed to us - it is most important! It is so true! We are all demoralized and had lost our confidence - our belief. We need to find that belief again and have a winning mentality!
