pointing to mathematical error? Was just meaning to say that of the 3 CBs, only 2 can be termed as crucial as the 3rd choice is basically backup
Yes.
Obviously Arsenal doesn't use 3 central defenders, but they could. ;P

Wenger quoted as saying that they aren't ready physically yet. That's unbelievable isn't it? A side that is expected to challenge for the league isn't ready for the first game of the season.

Actually what's more unbelievable is the fact that he's willing to admit that.
Well, several other managers have said the same thing, including Mourinho. Every season, one or two generally do.

I don't think it's an acceptable excuse. Top sides should be ready to go from game one. I'm sure Ferguson never came out after the first game of the season that his players weren't ready?

Yeah but how often did we start slow? Its a reality of the game, even with a good pre-season you aren't fully ready first weekend, look at some of the matches over the weekend in terms of rustiness.

I think the difference is that it's every year with Arsenal now. They're never ready. United might have started the odd season slow but you didn't go through the same cycle at the start of every campaign.

Yeah that's fair enough, this year in particular, losing to Liverpool isn't disgraceful but the state of that starting 11 really was something.

Just noticed this in their United thread, in response to photos of that (admittedly nasty) McNair foul on Wilshere:

This is actually ****ing appalling. First off, it's ****ing inhumane of him to rejoice in Wilshere's pain and serious career setback. The only ground for it is that he plays for another team, if that gets him that riled up he's got serious ****ing issues. Second, Wilshere plays for his ****ing country, the deluded ****! The idiot hasn't got a ****ing clue, you can't tell me he actually supports England. Nor does he have any class, the pig. I can't imagine he has an actual life.

Hells no if Sanchez and Ozil will stick around much longer for this stuff. Their deals both run out in summer 2018.

I wonder which one Bayern will poach, and which one we will poach.

Btw, we need more Arse supporters on here. Not enough caf member meltdowns to enjoy.

I think that's directed towards the guy who made the tweet. Adam McCola, who's one of the guys from that awful United YouTube channel. He posted that picture of McNair injuring Wilshere and tweeted "Thanks for the memories." Pretty damn classless imo.

Wenger is pronounced with a V.
It's pretty common in England to say it with a W but not like he does "Weng-ah" but more like "Wen-Guh", a lot of British people also pronounce the Wagen part in Volkswagen with a W instead of a V.

are you seriously picking that guy up on pronunciations?!

He pronounces most words in a ridiculous way for goodness sake
He isn't the only one doing it, blud.

Christ, that's frustrating to watch. The host keeps saying "but after one game," then interrupts the guy he's interviewing like he's going to offer a different point, and then ends up repeating it again and again.

The point being made by the fan isn't hard to understand, or why he's not buying the 'one game' logic.

Such a weird team. They looked absolutely brilliant up until the Liverpool equalizer and were the better side in every department. Completely fell apart in the second half.
